A Words With Friends (WWF) board is 15 x 15 squares.
You would expect that the WWF dictionary would have no words longer than 15 letters.
And you would be wrong.
The over-lengthy words include:
ABSTEMIOUSNESSES (16 letters), ACANTHOCEPHALANS (16), ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS (16), ALPHABETIZATIONS (16), EQUALITARIANISMS (16), ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH (18), ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHIC (20), ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHICALLY (24), ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHIES (21), ICONOGRAPHICALLY (16), MASCULINIZATIONS (16), MICROMINIATURIZATIONS (21), MICROPHOTOGRAPHS (16), NEUROPSYCHIATRICALLY (20), OXYPHENBUTAZONES (16), PATHOPHYSIOLOGIES (17), PHOTOPRODUCTIONS (16), PARAPSYCHOLOGISTS (17), STOICHIOMETRICALLY (18), SUPERCONDUCTIVITY (17), UNCONSTITUTIONALITIES (21), UNCONSTITUTIONALITY (19), UNCONSTITUTIONALLY (18), ZOOGEOGRAPHICALLY (17), and more words that cannot fit onto their 15 x 15 boards.
But WWF is not the only word game that lists words that cannot be played on their boards.
Both the Scrabble and WWF dictionaries lists these words in their respective dictionaries which cannot be played :
RAZZAMATAZZ, RAZZAMATAZZES, RAZZMATAZZ, and RAZZMATAZZES.
And why are these words not playable? Too many Z’s.
