I sometimes enjoy visiting small shops. I find many interesting tee-shirts, party favors, piñatas, paperback books, wrist bands, watches, and all sorts of small, and sometimes funny and sometimes cute, knick-knacks.
Here are three interesting examples that caught my attention.
A sealed, clear plastic package that announced, “The 4 Piece Geometry Set”. It contained a six-inch ruler, a 45 deg. triangle, a 30/60 deg. triangle, a protractor, and a compass. Now the geniuses that created this product might be good in geometry. But they are lousy at arithmetic.
Book cover on The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells; “The Illustrated Edition of the Invisible Man by H.G. Wells”. It must be difficult to illustrate an invisible man. A better book to illustrate would be “The Illustrated Man” by Bradbury. Now that could be fun!
A sign that advertised an English as a Second Language (ESL) book by proudly proclaiming, “Don’t loose out on life. Learn English now”. I think I’ll keep my version of English, thank you!
