WWOD

Standard

When I was child I remember being fascinated by butterflies. They came during the warm months, tickled my skin when they decided to rest on my arms, and I was attracted to all the bright colors of their wings.

However, it seems I have been seeing fewer and fewer of them with each passing year. I fear they may be another casualty of global warming or of other environmental changes.

Hopefully this year they will again make their appearance.

Today’s WWOD is BUTTERFLY

BUTTERFLY (BUTTERFLIES) [n. An insect with two pairs of large brightly colored wings that are erect when at rest. They are generally distinguished from the moths by having a slender body, knobbed antennae, and being active during the day. Butterflies also feed on nectar.]
