Two Kings



Both were called “The King” in their lifetimes. But did you how much more these two legends have in common?




Jesus said: “Love thy neighbor” (Matt 22:29).

Elvis sang “Don’t Be Cruel” (RCA, 1956)


Jesus said: “Man shall not live by bread alone” (Matt 4:4 and Luke 4:4)

Jesus is the Lord’s Shepherd.

Jesus was part of a trinity. So was Elvis. His first band was a trinity.


Jesus was the Lamb of God. Elvis had mutton chops.


Jesus’ entourage, his Apostles, had 12 members. Elvis’ entourage, the Memphis Mafia, also had 12 members.


Jesus walked barefooted or in sandals. Elvis sung about his Blue Suede Shoes.

Both Elvis (Jan. 8) and Jesus (December 25) were Capricorns


Jesus’ parents took him to Memphis (Egypt). Elvis’ parents took him to Memphis (Tennessee).

Elvis was regarded by some to have made an extraordinary profit.
